GERMANY BERLIN COVID19 MEMORIAL

Christian Y. Schmidt collects candles from a makeshift memorial at Arnswalder Platz in Berlin, Germany, March 07, 2021. After 3 months the final weekly vigil has gathered at the memorial as part of the initiative "Corona-Tote sichtbar machen" (lit. Make corona deaths visible) by Christian Y. Schmidt and Veronika Radulovic. Since December 6, 2020, people gather at the fountain of Arnswalder Platz every Sunday at dusk, light candles and place placards with the current death toll reported in Germany at the time. The death toll in Germany by various sources is over 72,000.
