The alleged attacker, later Identified as Israeli-Arab Yousef Abu Jaber, was shot dead at the scene by a police officer and a municipal patrolman. Israeli police along with the Shin Bet service said that from an initial investigation, by the course and speed of the driver, a terror intention is suspected as a motive. The driver’s family on the other hand claims it was an accident, a matter of loss of control over the vehicle.
