  • The lawmakers of the Bundestag (German Parliament) will decide whether to legalize same-sex marriage, in a snap voting procedure on Friday June 30, 2017 in Berlin. German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced that she will support a "vote of conscience" on the “Marriage to All” (Ehe für alle) law which will allow the MPs to vote freely regardless of political or party affiliation. Current laws in Germany allow a same sex couple to engage in a “civil union” but not marriage.

Local and state authorities, along side NGO and private volunteers have set up stands with hot food, clothing and other need free of charge for those arriving from across the border. From this point busses and cars take them to refugee centers, train stations and other desired destinations.
