  • A wild boar sow in Haifa, Israel, April 09, 2021. Several neighborhoods in the northern Israeli city are being visited by families of wild boars. Many of the animals felt safer to come out of the Carmel woods surrounding the city in search for food, as most people were confined to their homes due to covid-19 lockdowns. As Israel slowly returned to normal life, following a large scale vaccination operation, human and animal encounters became more and more common.
